Great Waterfront Dining
At Backwater Jacks

Located in the beautiful Bonita Bay Marina, Backwater Jacks offers casual drinks and dining in a unique waterfront location on the Imperial River.  Our new outdoor deck (photo left) is a great place to enjoy this quintessential Florida experience that is open to the public by reservation only from May 4 to October 31.


Jacks is the go-to place for guaranteed fresh, local seafood; burgers; salads; steaks and more … without the need to get all dressed up.  We are proud to be the first restaurant in Lee County to endorse the Eat Local Lee initiative linking local food producers to consumers.

Reservation Policy


​Bonita Bay residents are not required to make reservations during the summer season from May 4 to October 31.  Non-residents of the community arriving by car must call to reserve on the same day they wish to dine in order to be cleared through the Bonita Bay main gate.  Non-residents arriving by boat to the Marina do not need to make advance reservations.

 Our Jack's Pack Dining Rewards Program

Jack’s Pack is our dining rewards program here at Backwater Jacks.  It was created as a way to save you money, while helping the restaurant stay open as a dining amenity for the entire Bonita Bay community.

Although Backwater Jacks remains open year-round (dinner served on Thursday, Friday & Saturday from May through October), only about 20% of residents remain here in the summer.  As such, we greatly appreciate the financial support of Jack’s Pack members to help us manage our cashflow through the leaner, summer months.  We know most Bonita Bay residents greatly value our casual, seafood-focused, waterfront dining as a convenient alternative inside the gates.

The best part is that Jack’s Pack is that the $250 annual fee can almost pay for itself through exclusive member discounts – 10% off food & beverage purchases, including in-home catering; 10% off purchases at our Marina Ship Store; and 2% off purchases of marine gasoline. 

And, because membership is about perks, Jack’s Pack members can make advance reservations and request a seating area, including our new outdoor deck overlooking the Marina.  Backwater Jacks is almost always crowded in-season, so Jack’s Pack members can be sure they will have a table waiting.  Non-members can only call the same day and can’t request a seating area.
