New Season -- New Menu
Come Back to Jacks!
Backwater Jacks will resume regular, in-season operations starting Tuesday, October 20, with a menu full of new items and flavors. Dinner service will run Tuesday through Saturday nights from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, with lunch/brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. As usual, the bar will open at 3 PM during the week and from 11 AM on weekends, with a light Bar Bites menu.
We are continuing our pick-up and free delivery service (inside the gates only) for our customers who may not wish to dine in the restaurant, as well as in-home catering by prior arrangement.
Chef Cory Bass has created a new dinner menu that features more than 50% new dishes (click below to see the full menu). Some highlights include Derry’s Grouper Dippin’ Nuggets, Blue Crab Manicotti and Margarita Mahi, plus several favorites from last year.
And, while Backwater Jacks is all about fun, casual dining, Chef Cory is all business when it comes to sourcing his ingredients. In fact, the majority of our produce, fish and meats are local, organic, and sustainably harvested. When we can’t source locally, Cory does a deep dive to Insure whatever we buy comes from sustainable sources. He even validates things like animal feed, enclosure sizes and no use of growth hormones.
Why? Because fresh & natural always taste best.

(A NOTE ON COVID-19: While Governor DeSantis has permitted restaurants to resume normal operation at full capacity, Backwater Jacks is taking a more nuanced approach, keeping your health and well-being foremost. We will continue to have appropriately-spaced tables (including additional tables on our great, open-air deck) and a new, touch-less QR menus you can read on your cellphones. Our serving staff will continue to wear masks and we will do frequent cleanings of all public areas. We prefer customers to wear masks until seated at their tables for your own protection. Our Jack's Pack Dining Rewards Program
Jack’s Pack is our dining rewards program. It was created to reward you for helping the restaurant stay open year-round as a dining amenity inside the gates for the entire Bonita Bay community.
The $250 annual fee can almost pay for itself through exclusive member discounts – 10% off all food & beverage purchases, including in-home catering; 10% off purchases at our Marina Ship Store; and 2% off purchases of marine gasoline.
Plus, only Jack’s Pack members can make advance reservations and request a seating area, including our new outdoor deck overlooking the Marina. We are almost always crowded in-season, so Jack’s Pack members can be sure they will have a table waiting. Non-members can call the same day and can’t request a seating area.
